Reel Rock Charters is owned and operated by Captain Tony Miller whose love of fishing began at a young age as he spent countless hours on the water at Lake Anna bass fishing with his dad.

My determination to be a great fisherman really began to evolve in the summer of 1990 when my dad and I landed first place in the National Police Anglers Association open tournament on Lake Anna. Years later, I was introduced to striper fishing and it quickly became all I thought about. My drive to learn more about striper fishing led me to Smith Mountain Lake where I have spent countless hours studying the seasonal patterns of the stripers that call this lake home.

Locals and out of town clients alike enjoy fishing on Smith Mountain Lake with its 500 miles of shoreline, deep water, and thousands of magnificent homes along the shores. This combination makes the time spent fishing both interesting and enjoyable.

Believe me, there is no greater thrill then the sound of the drag screaming line off your reel or seeing your rod bend in half and knowing you just landed a striper. That is exactly what got me hooked and I want to share that same excitement with others aboard my boat.

There are many great fishermen in the world, but few great fishing guides. A great fishing guide has to not only love fishing, but enjoy teaching and passing on their knowledge to others. My goal is to provide you with an enjoyable, safe, and productive day of fishing on the water. I take my job seriously and my focus is on clients catching fish, learning better fishing skills, and most of all having a great time.
